This was actually my first book by this author. But since reading this one, I’ve actually gone and got the first book of this series! This one can read fine as a standalone, but I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to start at the beginning.

This book has everything I love in a good read. I truly enjoyed watching Chase and Taryn wade through their own issues and see light in each other. It was definitely not an easy road for these two, but watching them find their footing in life and love in each other is beautiful. This book also had the character depth I crave when reading. I love the way that Jayne showed us the characters and their true feelings, whether than just telling us.

I definitely recommend checking this one out as your next new read!
