Even though this book is part of a series, I had no problem reading it as a standalone. In fact, this was my first ever book by Soraya Naomi. But I’ve got to say that now I’m itching to go back and read the previous books in the series now! Mafia romances are a favorite of mine, so I honestly have no clue why I’ve never read Ms. Naomi before. This was such an interesting and different read for me. I can in fact say that I’ve never read a story before where the hero was a hacker. I thoroughly enjoyed the story line and all the secondary characters as well. And Henry was just so…..yummy! He has some major trust issues and those always seem to complicate his life. Mary wants Henry as more than just a friend but not if he can’t ever truly open his heart to her. And throw in the fact that Henry is a black hat hacker for the Chicago Syndicate and Mary’s brother….well you just know things are going to get messy and complicated. This was such a good read, and I most definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of mafia romance!

I read many genres but favor intense, seductive, and provocative novels where the male character loves fiercely, without remorse or boundaries. I also adore forbidden love tales and have an odd fascination with kidnapping romances. No, I don’t secretly want to be kidnapped, though!
