But Perseus proves to be different than the monster Ambrosia has always envisioned him to be, and she finds herself needing him, craving his touch. But how can the daughter of Medusa love the man who made her an orphan for twenty-three years, and who kept her from the mother she never met?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Ambrosia is the daughter of Medusa who was beheaded by Perseus. From the time she can remember, Ambrosia’s life mission was to pay Perseus back for the death of her mother which is why she chose a certain profession…Ambrosia is a whore in Hercules’s brothel and eventually she stumbles upon Perseus who’s current mission is to find Medusa, who he finds out isn’t actually dead. Sparks fly between the two, but Perseus is filled with guilt….his wife died and here he is feeling attraction to another woman.

Ambrosia attaches herself to Perseus’ mission and the two of them encounter gods and monsters (that everyone will find familiar from the mythology unit in school) and their bickering and banter will soon turn into something much more.

Not your average mythological read, Miss Bersen certainly makes it entertaining and definitely worth the read!!!
