REVIEW: Full Measure by Rebecca Yarros

1.12

Title:  Full Measures

Author:  Rebecca Yarros

Synopsis:  Three knocks can change everything…

“She knew. That’s why Mom hadn’t opened the door. She knew he was dead.”

Twenty years as an army brat and Ember Howard knew, too. The soldiers at the door meant her dad was never coming home. What she didn’t know was how she would find the strength to singlehandedly care for her crumbling family when her mom falls apart.

Then Josh Walker enters her life. Hockey star, her new next-door neighbor, and not to mention the most delicious hands that insist on saving her over and over again. He has a way of erasing the pain with a single look, a single touch. As much as she wants to turn off her feelings and endure the heartache on her own, she can’t deny their intense attraction.

Until Josh’s secret shatters their world. And Ember must decide if he’s worth the risk that comes with loving a man who could strip her bare.

OMG I have no idea why I waited so long to read this book! I am so completely in love with these characters! Full Measures has absolutely everything I love in a good romance book. Rebecca Yarros has a beautiful writing style and this story weaved it’s way around my heart. Full Measures is one of those books that even though you have finished reading it, you can’t stop thinking about it. I have nothing but good things to say about this novel. It went so far above and beyond what I was expecting!

Ember Howard knew when the army came knocking at her parent’s door that her dad wasn’t coming home. She knew it would now be her job to pick up the pieces and hold her family together. What she didn’t expect was the force that is Josh Walker. She had a crush on Josh back in high school but always thought he was out of her league. He’s now a hockey star and the few years since she’s seen him has made him even more sexy. Josh and Ember form a friendship that slowly starts to develop into something more. Josh is always there when Ember thinks she is at the last of her rope. He’s the one who picks her up time after time. But Josh has a secret that could destroy what they’ve worked so hard to build.

If you haven’t yet read this book, I most definitely recommend it! You will not be disappointed! I am now going to go dive head first into the next book in the series, Eyes Turned Skyward!
